		<description>Very true. Meeting in person is very effective even in a multisite environment. The next is picking up the phone and talking about the subject. The comfort and openness it brings can never be substituted thru emails or chat session.</description>

		<description>I agree with Brian - I have developed a pet hate for email - don&#039;t get me wrong - email has its place but it&#039;s wrong when it&#039;s used as the ONLY source of communicating vital information.  Email is good as a followup to a meeting or to set the tone for a meeting.</description>

Your ability to influence and be a great product manager is completely dependent on the relationships you have, and the only way to effectively build and deepen these relationships is in person.
