Nice article, but...

You have to read this in the context of many project managers and product managers not actually having the say on the release date, because of orders from above.

And many PMs/PMs having the same reasons for the unreasonable directives that executives make.

And that is things like annual bonuses and their schedules, shareholder reports and the other irrational aspects of business.

Managing the perceptions of your stakeholders is a legitimate and important part of getting tings done.</description>
